About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled individual to join Cumulus’s elite teams in data breach management, incident response, and cybersecurity risk management. The main duty of this position entails facilitating effective communication between our technical teams, clients, and client stakeholders, guaranteeing utmost satisfaction and the delivery of top-quality outcomes. As an Incident Response Director, the ideal candidate should possess technical expertise and be capable of contributing to multiple engagements. Responsibilities include leading scoping calls, leading and managing teams of Incident Response Engineers and coordinating intricate incident response strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and closely engage with internal and external stakeholders to comprehend business objectives and offer guidance on intricate mitigation strategies during incident response operations
- Supervise cross-functional incident response teams of Incident Response Engineers and guide members through security incidents such as ransomware, BEC, and Office 365 data breaches
- Initiate and conduct scoping calls with clients, generate statement of work documents, and deliver high-quality customer service when communicating response plans
- Provide strategic recommendations to counteract the impact of data breach events
- Lead cases and translate business and technical requirements into project proposals, communication plans, and client summary reports
- Effectively communicate our service offerings across all levels of an organization and foster client relationships by demonstrating how clients can address their security needs throughout and even beyond the engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact with the client, legal counsel, and other stakeholders in all communications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise in leading complex and advanced digital forensic and incident response cases, as well as related services
- Experience serving clients in a consulting or advisory capacity, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Proficient in generating and reviewing reports for clients, adapting communication style based on the intended audience
- Exceptional organizational, verbal, presentation/facilitation, and written communication skills
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, or possesses equivalent professional experience
- Previous employment with DFIR cybersecurity firms, cyber insurance providers, and privacy attorneys (including expert testimony experience)
- Possesses an in-depth understanding of current cybersecurity trends and actively engages in industry conferences and events as a participant or speaker
